Welcome to Saint Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church and Parish School in Oroville, California, and our mission church, Saint Anthony of Padua, in Challenge, California.  We have served the Greater Oroville area since 1857 and became part of the Diocese of Sacramento in 1886. We are glad you are here.

DAILY READINGS FOR: 2026

Holy Week Schedule

March 29th, Palm Sunday: Regular Saturday evening and Sunday morning Mass times. Palms will be blessed and distributed at all Masses.

April 2nd, Holy Thursday: No morning Mass. Bilingual Mass of the Last Supper at 7:00 PM, followed by Adoration overnight.

April 3rd, Good Friday: No morning Mass.
• Bilingual Service at 3:00 PM, followed by Stations of the Cross
• Challenge: Service at 12:30 PM, followed by Stations
• No 6:00 PM Soup and Stations

April 4th, Easter Vigil: Bilingual Mass gegins at 8:00 PM

April 5th, Easter Sunday:
• Oroville: 8:00 AM, 10:30 AM, and Spanish Mass at 1:00 PM
• Challenge: 12:30 PM

Schedule changes for Mass and The Holy Hour of Prayer

The Holy Hour of Prayer for Vocations will be cancelled during February and March and resume on the last Thursday in April.

Lenten Penance Service Schedule

All Penance Services will begin at 6:00PM unless otherwise stated.

  • March 23rd, St, Monica, Willows
  • March 24th, St. Dominic’s – Orland
  • March 25th at St. Thomas More – Paradise
  • March 3oth at Holy Cross – Arbuckle at 6:30PM
