Introduction
The Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion (EMHC) performs a great service to the Church, by distributing Holy Communion to God’s people on those occasions where there are an insufficient number of priests and deacons to distribute Holy Communion to the people present at the mass, and to the homebound.
Our ministry consist of men and women who have been called by God to serve their parish community by assisting ministers (Bishop, Priest, or Deacon) in the distribution of Holy Communion, both body and/or blood, to the laity. This assistance may take place during the Mass or in taking Communion out to those who are unable to attend Mass due to physical disability. Is God placing this ministry on your heart? Perhaps you are interested in becoming an Extraordinary Minister or are seeking out more information? Please contact the Minister Coordinator. They will advise you of the next training session for your certification and schedule you Mass times.
