Finance Council

The Pastor, in accordance with the norms of the Sacramento Diocese, appoints all members of the Finance Council and they serve to assist him in the administration of the goods of the Parish. Council members serve two-year terms, but at the discretion of the Pastor, can serve multiple terms in a row. The council is responsible for electing a chair and votes on recommendations to the Pastor on issues affecting all financial matters and capital expenses of the Parish and school.

All final decisions are made by the Pastor. The council works hand-in-hand with the Parish bookkeeper, school bookkeeper, school principal, the chair of the Parish Council and Diocesan staff to help the parish prosper financially. The Finance Council meets monthly and all members of the St. Thomas the Apostle community may attend any non-executive session. If you have any questions or concerns about the council, its members, or the financial health of our wonderful community please contact Michael Suplita – msuplita@gmail.com
